01How Fuliza Charges Work
Every time you use Fuliza, Safaricom applies two separate charges: a one-off access fee and a daily maintenance fee that accrues until you repay. Both are calculated as a percentage or flat amount depending on how much you borrow.
💡The access fee is charged once, the moment you use Fuliza. The maintenance fee is charged once every 24 hours the loan stays unpaid, starting the day after you borrow.

03Fee Bands at a Glance
| Fuliza amount | Access fee | Daily maintenance fee |
|---|---|---|
| KES 1 – 499 | 1% | KES 3/day |
| KES 500 – 999 | 1% | KES 5/day |
| KES 1,000 – 2,499 | 1% | KES 10/day |
| KES 2,500 – 70,000 | 1% | KES 25/day |
⚠️Maintenance fees compound daily until the loan is cleared, so an unpaid Fuliza balance gets more expensive the longer it sits. Clearing your balance quickly is also one of the strongest signals for growing your limit.
